Bad posture is when certain muscles tighten up or shorten and others lengthen and become weak and these occur due to the daily activities that we engage in. Causes of bad posture can be categorized into two: Repetitive Stress and Postural faults.

Repetitive stress is activities that we do day-in-day out, some examples include sitting at your desk, using a computer, and carrying children, carrying heavy stuff like heavy boxes and using our phones. This can cause forward head posture and swayback postural misalignment.

Most people don’t know the importance of a good posture, like a house on a bad foundation, the whole body is impacted.

Postural faults arise from assuming the incorrect posture or the lack of awareness of your body. Postural faults which can be deep-seated from a young age can also end up to having a bad posture. Bad Posture related pain ranges from the most common low back pain, shoulder and neck pain to frequent headaches.

Though these are activities that cannot be avoided, we can learn how to manage the pain and eventually treat it. Chiropractic is one of the ways that we can treat bad posture. Chiropractic is the manipulation of the spine. The chiropractors use the hands to manipulate the spine and they do it on a chiropractic bed. They can also use a small machine called the activator.

Chiropractic is generally considered a safe and effective treatment for acute low back pain, the type of sudden injury that results from moving furniture or getting tackled. It can also help relief pain caused by back and neck conditions, Leg Pain (Sciatica)  Knee, Foot and Ankle Pain, Shoulder or Elbow Pain,  Arm or wrist pain, migraine and tension headaches, high blood pressure, sleep disorders, repetitive stress disorders, fibromyalgia, bursitis, arthritis, chronic injuries. Chiropractic has been a successful treatment for years and no medication is used. This ensures that one is getting healthy treatment. Chiropractic can also be done for maintenance purposes; just to make sure your posture is right. This can be done at least twice a month and ensure that you have the right posture at all times.
